Unveiled at CES 2023 Las Vegas: Highlights and the Hottest Gadgets

The Future Arrived At CES 2023

By Keelan Leyser, Keynote Speaker, Technology Magician

I just returned from CES 2023 in Las Vegas, where I experienced firsthand how the technologies of tomorrow are poised to revolutionize our lives. As a magician and tech enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for cutting-edge innovations to incorporate into my performances. This year’s CES delivered, unveiling revolutionary devices that bring sci-fi concepts to reality.

Robots That Wowed Me With Their Capabilities

Robots were a huge draw, and I was blown away by their expanding skill sets. I met the service robot AEO from P&G, which can fluidly navigate crowded environments while recognizing voices and faces. It was nice to watch its ability to greet attendees, converse, and carry items. However, award-winners like the Worx Landroid Vision robotic lawnmower and Aiper’s Seagull cordless pool cleaner demonstrated the leaps in practical robotics.

Holograms That Felt Like Science Fiction

Holographic illusions are a staple of my act, so I eagerly checked out the latest advancements. Hypervsn’s giant hologram of Mark Cuban validated how far hologram technology has progressed. I left eager to bring these innovations onstage. Meanwhile, Holo Industries’ mid-air touchscreen holograms looked straight out of a Mission Impossible or Iron Man movie. Their ability to provide hands-on interaction without touch contamination opened my eyes to the future possibilities for holographic tech.

Translation Tech For Seamless Communication

Communication barriers between languages have long fascinated me as a magician who performs worldwide. How many times have you wished you could speak any language at any moment, like a superpower? Well, at CES, I got to test TimeKettle’s WT2 Plus real-time translation earbuds, which gave me hope for a future where language is no obstacle. With rapid bidirectional translations and minimal delay, I felt like I had a universal translator like in Star Trek. The ability to converse smoothly in 40 languages could be a game-changer! Check out the video to see how easily I could talk with someone in Mandarin!

A Color-Shifting Car Straight From Tomorrow

Concept cars at CES teased the automotive potential of the future. BMW’s color-changing i Vision Dee vehicle blew me away with its ability to shift between 32 colors using e-ink technology. While not yet ready for production, it demonstrates the creative directions car design could take. As a spectacle, it was unveiled by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator himself.

Cutting The Cord With Wireless TVs

Finally, advancements like LG’s cable-free OLED TV left me eager to upgrade my home entertainment. LG’s Zero Connect box and Displace’s fully cordless TV opened my eyes to how wireless tech will enable sleeker, less cluttered interior design. As someone fascinated by tech’s future, the groundbreaking innovations unveiled reaffirmed that the world of tomorrow is closer than ever.

CES 2023 demonstrated that many technologies once considered futuristic will soon become commonplace. From AI robots in our homes to holograms, many of the innovations I witnessed firsthand are primed to go mainstream. As a magician, this glimpse of the future left my creative energies charged. I now start brainstorming how to incorporate some of these cutting-edge wonders into my signature blend of magic and tech. One thing’s for sure – with rapid advances like I saw, the possibilities are limited only by our imagination.
